This can be done through our fully online Safe2Site course, which is more convenient and takes less time than traditional classroom training. Once completed, it is valid for a full 5 years.
Pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment touch screen test.
This test is multiple choice and must be completed in person at a local Pearson Vue test centre. The test takes 45 minutes and bookings can be made with www.citb.co.uk at over 150 test centres nationwide – £22.50
Apply for the CSCS Card online.
Apply for the card via the official CSCS Online service. A copy of the Safe2Site qualification certificate, the test ID number from your CITB Health, safety and environment (HS&E) test is required and a credit or debit card to pay the £36 application fee.

Your CSCS green card expires after 5 years. Both Safe2Site and the CITB HS&E test are valid for 5 years so you will need to take both again when you re-apply for your CSCS green card.
The pass mark is 80% and all questions are equally weighted. This means you need to score a minimum of 24 out of 30 to pass.
