If you are a labourer who wants to work on a construction site in the UK, you will need to obtain a CSCS green card. In this blog post, we will guide you through the steps of applying for the CSCS green card online using the official CSCS website.

What is the CSCS green card?

The CSCS green card, also known as the Labourer card, is for those who carry out labouring duties on site. It is valid for five years and can be renewed. To get this card, you must have:

  • A Level 1 Award or approved alternative in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment or Site Safety Plus Health and Safety Awareness course.
  • A CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test pass within the last two years.

You can check if your qualification is accepted by CSCS using the CSCS Card Finder. You can also find out more about the types of CSCS cards available for different occupations and qualifications on the CSCS website.
